I'd have less problems with no minimum wage if we had a robust social welfare state, especially one that's basically rigged toward single mothers and not actual singles. Try getting EITC, Medicaid, or public housing when you're single, and then try with a baby in tow and you'll see the difference in how one is treated by the state.It's not the taxpayer's duty to subsidize low-wage employers. |
