No spin. Just too many random facts. We can guess at what happened but we don't really know.

And the biggest issue is that unless you can prove that Zimmerman was already engaged in a crime before he met Trayvon (good luck proving stalking), he probably will go free under the moronic Florida law.

Sample hypothetical defense:

"I followed Trayvon and caught up to him. I grabbed his arm and said, hey where are you going. He whirled around and put his hand to his belt. I thought he was pulling a gun, so, fearing for my life, I shot him. It was a horrible mistake on my part, but I was so sure he was about to shoot me."

This defense is sufficient under Florida law.
