She made a perfectly reasoned argument. The same logic applies to Social Security.The Constitution gives Congress the right to regulate commerce and mandates its work for the common good. Among the action that are for the common good, are food programs, education programs, jobs programs. All are Constitutional. Successful governments look out for the good of all. Justice Kagan is looking to do precisely that, as far as her position's capacity allows. |
