No paramedic on Earth would have let Zimmerman RMA with a broken nose and evidence of a head injury without at least getting clearance from Medical Control. Broken noses aren't just painful, they can create respiratory issues, and if Zimmerman's nose had been broken, his shirt would have been covered in blood. From what we know of this case, however, George Zimmerman never checks into a hospital or sees the doctor after this incident, and there has been no evidence that he has sought treatment for any injuries at all.

If the medics on the scene allowed him to RMA--something fraught with legal dangers if it goes wrong--Zimmerman would have had only superficial, if any, injuries at all. Yes, the patient does have the right to refuse any or all of his medical treatment, but ONLY if, in the medic's professional judgment, he is of capable mind to do so. Head injuries do not fall into that category, for obvious reasons. Again, the ACR the ambulance crew wrote would clear a LOT of this up, but the police video suggests Zimmerman's injuries, if any, were VERY minor.
