Ah. Interesting. Forgive my ignorance, but Catholics don't say that the Pope is God, only that the Pope is God's infallible messenger. No?It's not that Catholics believe the Pope is divine, but that the Papacy and Catholic ritual itself is a barrier to the personal connection with Jesus necessary for Salvation. |
