Excellently said.The base matters less so than do the people on the fence. This is with one exception: Obama will probably draw fewer White liberals to vote for him, so he will have a smaller base. But that won't matter in most of the states where he has a base, since they'll go Democrat in any case. In the end, the battle still comes to the independents, and in that case mostly in the swing states (and mostly in FL and OH). |
