Well now the birth control battle makes much more sense in Arizona. While it has a highish White total fertility rate (1.92 children per child bearing woman), it's still sub-replacement and far below the Mexican fertility rate. Removing birth control, or even curbing its use, would boost the White fertility rate (and probably have little effect on the already high Mexican rate), giving Whites in the state a competitive edge in numbers. |
