I noticed that you did not respond to the criminal element that often involves itself in the sex trade. That criminality includes kidnapping and sex enslavement.

And the solution to that is to legalize the process, provide safe, regulated places to permit prostitution, while chasing out the bad actors who kidnap women, trick them, enslave them, and drug them. Otherwise, if we continue to keep prostitution illegal, we'll be stuck with the problems that you're fearing, except magnified further given that the demand for prostitutes while reduced will always be there, and the bulk of that demand will fuel profits for criminal element instead of going to the women.

Police officers and fire fighters are highly trained and well equipped for their jobs. Their risks are minimized.

And yet, that risk is there. Coincidentally, we can also minimize the risks with condoms, and encouragement of frequent testing for sexually active men and women regardless of their participation in prostitution.
