In Amsterdam, legalization does not protect the sex workers. It protects the customers. The girls are still subject to being infected with diseases as the customers are not tested. They are subject to being addicted to drugs in order to maintain them as prostitutes and they may fall victim to organized crime. So let us drop the illusion that prostitution is victimless. |
