This has nothing to do with thinking ADA laws are bad. They are good, but common sense has to prevail too. The reasonable accomodation stipulation made sense. This does not. There's nothing wrong with the older portable lifts that were available, or made to be required. But to have permanent large lifts a requirement at every water location, including small hot tubs is absurd and over the top.
Hotels will just fill in their hot tubs or many the whole pool, and then no one gets to enjoy it.
