Since most of the public don't want dollar coins, the banks don't carry them unless the customer wants them. As I posted before only the subway in Baltimore fare machines gives dollar coins as change for a 5 dollar bill for a $1.60 fare. WalMart tried giving coins as change, the customers refused them. |
