Most auto parts are metric because they decided it was cheaper that way. Lumber 2x4s haven't been 2"x4" in many decades (not that they rae a metric size either). So it only really matters in terms of driving and weather. That means we all get slightly confused when we try to figure out the cost of gasoline when we're in Canada. Other than that, it doesn't really matter. |
