Calculus and differential equations are not theoretical if you're going for a degree in physics, as one of my daughters is. As she says "math is the language of physics." She thinks math is a beautiful thing; it's all a matter of perspective.I would think railfans could see this. So much of what interests us in railroads is bound together with math, from timetables to engineering to car plans. |
