Higher income, higher educated people have fewer children because:They want to provide better for the children they have. The couple is likely to be near or over 30 when starting a family, and the risks involved for both mother and child increase with age. The more children she has, the harder it is for a mother to hold down her own job. Basically,being tied down to raising a lot of children is a repression it and of itself, and many do not want to live that way. |
