Even in the black community, Africans tend to do a lot better than West Indians and native born blacks.Or, the barriers against coming to the U.S. are highest against African immigrants, next highest against Caribbean immigrants (save Puerto Ricans, obviously), and least highest (obviously) against American Blacks. The average IQ of each group follows that pattern. Immigrants have not been exposed to Jersey Shore or Playstation. Then there's that bastard regression to the mean... The fact remains that this is not a level playing field and some groups are more prepared for the exam than other groups. As I said, dead wrong. |
