First of all, it's not at all clear whether this was a "gay-on-gay" assault or a vicious homophobic gay-bashing by gangsters. There are conflicting reports of why the attack took place. Second, society has enough to answer for in its treatment of the LGBT community without me "wanting" to blame it for yet another atrocity.
