They shouldn't have been able to be swayed in the first place, if they were "informed" atheists. Rather, these people drifted towards it out of rebellion or after hearing one talk on atheism that seemed to make sense...A good atheist would be willing to believe if proof of God's existence were offered. Granted, that was a shitty standard for proof, but the principle is sound. |
