So even if the US produced more oil, and had the capacity... it wouldn't make a difference because the price of oil is controlled on the open INTERNATIONAL market. Also 75% of the prices of gas in Europe are in taxes. The US can subsidize the price of gas... and lower it to the .12 cents a gallon in several parts of the world however that will cost A LOT! Also in parts of Europe they sell higher Octane gas than sold in the US like 98 octane. |
