If you don't think places like Oklahoma, Texas, the "Bible belt" and even Virginia won't jump on the opportunity I'd question what planet you're on. It is only the force of Federal law that insures reproductive freedom, even as we are 40+ years past those decisions.The country would become a patchwork of female, family friendly states and the Chastity Belt. Then guess who's gonna come hat in hand to Washington for welfare money? Yes, the republicans ARE looking towards banning contraceptives for many. |
