Better that than spending billions keeping the 'infestation' at bay. All the US is doing is acting as the dam holding back the taliban. Eventually the US will have to cut its financial losses and just give up. I get it that it's not always great to admit defeat, but that area is basically a wasteland with opium as its main export. Nothing to gain by staying there. At least Iraq has oil, but the US already cleared out of there. |
