I think that you can very loosely compare their attitudes to the Christian attitudes of the 11th, 12th and 13th Centuries. The Crusades were a very brutal time and the soldiers had the blessings of the Pope. Of course, that was 1,000 years ago and we would have hoped the world has progressed beyond that but the radical Muslim still lives in the 14th Century, mentality-wise. Hopefully they too will evolve in time. |
