The top 10% is relative.In NYC, the top 10% at Grover Cleveland may not be in the top 10% at another high school like Bayside. That's why SAT and Regents exams should play a bigger role in college acceptance. Another problem with 10% is it discriminates against kids who go to school like Stuyvesant or Bronx Science. |
