Typically sports headlines use a common phrase in reference to a team, a game, a result, or a player. Especially with Jeremy Lin. "Chink in the armor" is a common phrase, but it has the appearance of referencing Lin since that's how their headlines typically work. They don't typically use common phrases just because they are common and descriptive, especially when they might be understood a different way. |
