No matter what you might think of her politics or whether or not you even heard of her I always appreciated that she at least joined the USO Tour in support of the troops - I got to speak a few brief words with her before a mission when she came out to Prince Sultan Air Base in RSA back during SOUTHERN WATCH. She was there along with Trisha Yearwood and some other guy I forget. Her album Tapestry from the early 70s is still one of my favorites. Here she is performing Jazzman. |
