Wrong-o, Sparky. There are other restrictions as well.

Lev. 11:3 and Deut 14:6 permit the consumption of animals (not fish, that's another category) that have split hooves and chew their cud. Both elements must be present. These animals must still be properly prepared before they can be consumed.

Lev. 11:4 explicitly prohibits the consumption of any animals that do not have split hooves and do not chew their cud. They are unkosher animals no matter how they are prepared.

An animal that is torn by predators is not kosher because it is considered to be ne'veilah, a dead body, that was not properly prepared for consumption. That is a different category of kashrut.
