In the victory mosque threads he would defend religious Muslims as regular people and give examples of how that is true against claims that they are terrorists or terrorist sympathizers. Nothing wrong with that. But here he has a chance to do the same when a religious Christian is unfairly accused of inciting violence and instead he offers that while over the top, he understands the sentiment.
