I specifically said 1946 to emphasize that the Germans were NOT the last to persecute the Jews in the name of Christianity. Nazis aside, do you have any idea how many German Lutheran ministers regularly gave antisemitic sermons both pre-1933 and in the period 1933-1945? If you did, you wouldn't say that Germany didn't persecute Jews in the name of Christianity. |
