I would almost buy the left's argument in that he certainly wasn't terribly competent in matters of Presidential significance - his policy arguments were silly, he clearly wasn't up to speed at all on foreign affairs and that which is what people look for in a President. So on the surface, it would seem that he was chosen for his skin color since anyone so not up to the task would never be nominated seriously by a major political party.Then I remembered ... Palin. So maybe it wasn't racist at all. :) |
