Except for the alcohol part, their positions on just about everything are no different than that of the one, true and holy, universal and apostolic Roman Catholic Church.And except for gambling. Probably also divorce. Probably also birth control. And certainly the various doctrinal differences between Protestant and Catholic theology like transubstantiation. Also, the Catholic Church strongly disapproves of pornography, but I've never heard of them opposing the legality of at least soft core porn. The only place where the Catholic Church pushes to make the law agree with its position is on abortion (e.g., they don't oppose the sale of condoms). |
