Again, how does the NLRB stop a company from expanding as a business strategy? Hundreds of unionized companies have, over the last 3 decades, left the north east for better climates or for more favorable tax situations. Many major investment firms and banks have moved their back offices to NJ. Workers were uprooted. The NLRB has never once intervened. Why now? Especially when jobs are not being moved. They are being created.If what Boeing did falls within the purview of the NLRB, fine them if they've wronged the union. Let the Justice Dept. take on the case if they've done something illegal but the NLRB has never had a say in a corporation's plans to re-locate or to expand. It's not part of their mandate. This is just another obama ploy to hold the labor vote while he continues to let them bleed jobs. That's all it is. End of story. |
