Sometimes the law isn't clear, or the available legal remedies don't completely address the issue. In these times of obsessive background checking, a wrongful eviction can render a tenant jobless and homeless. There must be penalties sufficient to ensure they are made whole. Is what's on the books enough,or do new penalties need to be developed?I'm no lawyer,nor do I know of any precedent. |
