The Democratic Party does NOT want to see a default, they want to see some sanity in planning and reducing the deficit. Not that it's actually a major problem (latest CBS poll showed 53% concerned about unemployment, 7% concerned about the deficit/debt as their primary issue) to the overwhelming majority. Shutting down the government by cutting off the money IS far greater a concern, as it should be, to everyone.The republicans are acting like a bunch of idiots. They are willing to take the global economy out for no damn reason beyond their personal greed. |
