And why do you say "pushing people out of their homes"? No one is forcing the people out of the projects in Harlem or Queensbridge. The projects are still there, and the demos have not changed.The article itself spoke of how people that owned a home or business in the area couldn't afford the increasing property taxes, and therefore had to leave. And this doesn't include the landlords increasing the rent as Easy mentioned. |
