How interesting that the howling mob--the very thing our justice system is supposed to protect us from--is speaking out so loudly now that the verdict is in. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Anthony had her day in court, and we as a society agree to accept the verdicts of our courts. We don't have to like or agree with them, but we do have to accept them...When the judge formally charges the jury before deliberation, he or she reminds them that they must judge the case on the facts presented, and on "the law as I (the judge) give it to you". That's it and that's all. But the howling mob wants to disregard that... |
