In 1991, my friend told me that his brother could not go to Saudi Arabia to help fight Iraq because he's Jewish. The Saudis and the US government worked out a deal which banned Jewish servicemen from entering their country.That's a crock a shit. Either your friend lied or his brother did to him. There were plenty of Jewish soldiers in Saudi Arabia, including people in my unit. There were also Jewish chaplains. Your friend's brother probably had an embarrassing reason to not be sent to Saudi and that's the excuse he found to justify it. |
