No, the VC was so ingrained in Vietnam that we, as outsiders could not figure out who was who. Tet was a disaster for both sides; it was Antietam, and we saw both sides getting killed on TV. The Westmoreland debacle did more damage to the war effort than did any reporting on it.your pal, Fred |
