I would broadly agree, but in principle we could engineer a host of traits in addition to sexual orientation, which is why it is a bigger discussion. As it applies to sexual orientation, yes, if genetic engineering to that degree was available, parents (who could afford it) could remove any homosexual genes from their children. I wouldn't argue that that is wrong if they so choose. |
