In a way, yes. Dominance seeking and ethnocentrism, even the more extreme forms such as overt racism and genocide, are based in human nature. This doesn't mean that these things are good, but all manner of ugly things are perfectly in tune with human nature. Something natural doesn't have to be good (quite often isn't), and to believe that they do need to be is the naturalistic fallacy. |
