Same with me ... and I got invited to join ... heh. If you're not afraid of priests, they can be your best friend and not even try to touch you. Heh. I had great arguments with them over this and that and most priests are quite laid back about it all, particularly discussing some of the stupid internal politics of the church.Confession isn't really done around here anymore, the attitude being pretty much "you know what you did, pray and don't do it again." Besides ... since we're in a rural area with not enough priests to go around, attending to mass takes up too much of their time to bother with confessions. If you know the drill, you can take care of it with God on your own time. :) |
