We can go all the way back to Eisenhower and his toppling of the Iranian government and re-instatement of the ShahThe Shah never left; he was there the whole time. Mossadegh was a leftist (probably an "Islamic Socialist"; there were lots of them around back then) who did the same thing to the oil companies in Iran as Hugo Chávez has been doing. |
