This doesn't excuse Muslim, Jewish and Protestant groups from speaking out against transmission of disease through unprotected sex and overpopulation.If the Pope isn't doing enough, then I expect Jews, Muslims, and Protestant to be loud about these topics if they feel that Catholics aren't saying enough. The same Jewish leaders who complained loudly and received international attention when Mel Gibson came out with a movie they objected to, should be as loud and determined regarding unprotected sex. The same Muslim leaders who complained loudly and received international attention when the Gainesville Fla pastor burned a Koran, should be as loud and determined regarding unprotected sex. Until then, they are as guilty as the Catholic church for the spread of STD's and overpopulation. Pope Benedict did say that using a condom to prevent transmission of disease is the lesser of two evils. And Judaism is irrelevant anyway as there are a negligible number of Jews. Well, Jews don't recruit like other religions. They prosper being a small group. |
