Because they are not as enlightened or as intelligent as you are?Well if you really want to get technical, then yes, obviously the bulk of people in the general population aren't as intelligent and are probably not as tolerant as I am (but that of course is little different than saying the bulk of people aren't as tall as I am). That's not meant as a boast, but it is a statement of fact and one that is relevant to your question. To point out an example, conservatives are as whole less intelligent and less tolerant than liberals. And that is in part why ignorance, fear and hatred of not just gays but many groups runs rampant. I suppose the relevant question here is that if I can turn out so "enlightened and intelligent" without education about gays, why are you worried if kids do get educated about gays? |
