If a club catering to the Metallica, GWAR, Megadeath crowd were coming to that area, the people would not be too happy.That's not true because there are clubs on 5th Avenue that cater to that crowd, and residents seem to be just fine with it. And fuck that shit with political correctness. Let's be honest with ourselves. The hip hop community has a terrible rep and it's well-deserved. Guys write songs about shooting people and laugh about it. Almost every artist has to carry a gun because they are at risk of being shot by a rival for a diss. That attitude extends to the listeners. Hey subchatters. If you have digital cable, turn on Rap Uncensored and let's talk about the hip hop culture. Not all popular hip hop encourages violence. Did The Fugees encourage violence? Did Outkast encourage violence? Does Kanye West encourage violence? Why do rich label executives produce violent rap then turn around & say that don't want anyone who listens to it in their elite neighborhoods? Anyways, how much you wanna bet that most of the guys protesting this have a hip hop song on their iPods? |
