Before and during WW2 many ordinary and decent Germans thought that Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, the retarded and others were full human beings that should not be killed.It saddened them when they heard what was happening. Then they shrugged and went on with their business, saying "well, it's legal to kill them and others disagree with me". History has not been kind to them. Saying "I wouldn't do it" or "it's wrong, but what are you gonna do" is monstrous and contrary to the moral tenets of human civilization. You are making genocide a mere matter of opinion. |
