Upward mobile people have kids later which in turn means less kids overall.Poor people that skip college and other upward mobility paths have kids earlier further hampering their financial betterment. people that skip college and other upward mobile paths are also more likely to be from poor less-educated families with many siblings. It's a vicious cycle. It can only be broken by education and contraception as has been done in advanced countries for decades. |
