With 12% of all Americans in unions, I doubt that any state is truely pro-union any more. Large unions keep the elected officials pro-union with large contributions. So we know what the contributors want - not what the constituents want. Sad fact is that people vote in the following prioritized order.1) Party 2) Name recognition 3) Issues The sad fact is that while many may believe one way on an issue, they are voting in the opposite direction because of the 1 & 2. |
