Or let's say they do, until they find out the nursing home is coming after them to the tune of $10K month for a parent's care. Or that their kid can't stay away at college because they lost their student aid money. Or that their kids and grandkids are moving into their trailer because the son-in-law lost his maintenance job for the town due to elimination of federal aid to localities and the locals won't raise taxes to make up the difference.... the possibilities go on and on.Reminisce about the "good old days" all you want..... rest assured, taxes were higher than. |
