I haven't heard the same stories about Lowes, but would assume to some extent at least anyway. But in my experience, the product is better at Lowes (at least perceptually). Lowes stores are MUCH better designed and maintained that Home Depot, and better organized. I also find the help to be much more helpful and knowledgeable.It's good competition, as until Lowes came into the picture, Home Depot was WAY worse. They had to improve to compete. HD is still not great, but it's better than before Lowes came in. We also found a reverse of the trend too. While HD put a LOT of old hardware stores, etc out of business when they first came in, in more recent years, a few smaller hgardware and paint stores reopened, remodeled, and other things, and they really have found a little bit of a niche. I have seen this happen more and more recently. |
