As Selkirk pointed out, these were hawkers of state religions. Communism and Nazism are dogmatic doctrines that are held by their followers with complete suspension of rational scrutiny with the fervor of Christian or Muslim crusaders. And like all religions, they have lead to enormous human suffering. |
