There's absolutely nothing that they can do unless you admit that you received the notices. Does that not make sense? They can't prove that you skipped jury duty if you never got the notice and unless they sent it registered mail they have no proff that it was delivered. Nobody gets warrants for skipping jury duty.And no, courts do not take failure to appear seriously because most of the people that fail to appear really never did get the notice. It is a problem but people aren't getting arrested for skipping jury duty. Every once in a while a cop wants to get on CNN and will take people from their homes straight to jury duty, but that's about it. |
